Handcrafted Wood Furniture Designed and Built by Boyleston Wood Design

Local Wood Artisan Jason Boyleston is pleased to announce the recent opening of his wood working gallery in San Luis Obispo County. Jason Boyleston studied wood working under his father, craftsman Steve Boyleston from the age of 12. He worked as an apprentice under his father until he caught the rock-n-roll bug in the early 90s, prompting a move to Seattle to pursue a career in music.  Playing lead guitar and bass, Jason performed and/or toured with The Paul Rodgers' Band (Bad Company), The Howard Leese Band (Heart), Bad Finger, Mark Andes (Heart, Whitesnake, Spirit) and Sister Mary.  He has shared the stage with the likes of Joe Walsh, Sammy Hagar, Stephen Stills, Ritchie Sambora (Bon Jovi), Cheap Trick, Foreigner and many more.  Between tour dates, Jason Boyleston continued to design and build furniture in his Studio City workshop developing a unique, eclectic style. His furniture has been featured in a Beverly Hills gallery, and an award-winning wine tasting room and art gallery in the Central Coast.  Jason Boyleston has built custom pieces for numerous celebrities in Los Angeles.  

In 2010, Jason Boyleston and his wife Sharan Magnuson moved to San Luis Obispo (County) CA, where he promptly built a workshop and began focusing on his wood art full-time.  Jason Boyleston designs and handcrafts every piece of furniture, using the finest wood available in the states including Maple, Walnut, Redwood, Sycamore and California Koa.  Boyleston Wood Design will display a number of Jason’s eclectic new designs at the upcoming home shows including a burled maple console table, a redwood-root coffee table, a contemporary low table, a four-seater indoor bench and  a pair of modern wood lamps .
